No Gi / Combat Submission Wrestling classes

Just wanted everyone to know that the CSW classes are open to everyone regardless of rank. These classes are great for beginning and advanced students alike and tie in extremly well with our BJJ classes.

We also have my instructor and the head of CSW Erik Paulson coming to the academy on Wednesday December the 2nd. Erik's seminars are always fantastic and I hope you all can make it.

10/09/2015 New Brazilian Jiu - jitsu classes

Hi Everyone. It has been a long time since I updated this page but I promise I will be more regular with academy news in the future.

First of all I want to thank everyone at the academy for their on going support. The classes are extremly busy just now and there is a great atmosphere in the gym. Thank you for making the academy such a great place to teach and train in.

Just to let everyone know we have two new additions to our Brazilian Jiu - jitsu program. We have a new class on Friday night from 1730 to 1830. This will be followed by our No-Gi Combat submission wrestling class which runs from 1830 to 1930.

We also have a new Brazilian Jiu - jitsu class starting on Sunday September the 20th. The class will run from 1230 to 1345.

If you have any questions or thoughts concerning the academy please let me know and I will be happy to discuss any thing pertaining to the academy with you.

Brazilian Jiu - Jitsu black belt promotion

I just wanted to congratulate my student and friend John Kennedy who I promoted to BJJ Black belt tonight.
The black belt was given by me with the approval of my instructor Mauricio Gomes. John has been involved in the BJJ scene in the UK since the beginning and is an excellent grappler both with and without the GI.
After so many years of training together it was a privilege for me to be able to award him the Faxa Preta.
Congratulations again John and I hope we are blessed with many more years of training together.

Christmas season is upon us!

We just wanted to thank all the students new and old who have trained with us in the last year. The academy is going from strength to strength and both Claire and I are very excited about next year.

A huge thank you also to everyone who is on the teaching staff, John Kennedy, Keith Porter, Scott McKail, Alan Mccune, Colin Heddle and Johnny Martin.

We truly wish everyone a meaningful, peaceful and happy Christmas and wonderful New Year.
